Elf~Fin™ is the second property within our Eternal Spheres™ universe. We will be releasing several books in comics and/or graphic novel format, the first of which is the Hyfus and Tilaweed fantasy romance.

This double page spread features the first crowd scene in the Waverin community where Hyfus lives. Some of you have thought it is a wedding – maybe, maybe not! Don't forget that the Elf~Fin have their own language and their own traditions and customs, which maybe quite different to us mere mortals.

The following sketches are new characters that feature in the Hyfus and Tilaweed story.

The sequel is aimed at both younger and older readers. The story takes place in mythical Elf~Threaal. It focuses on Illora, a young Elf~Fin, who embarks on a journey from her bowl-hole home to the wider ocean world. Here she encounters many strange creatures and befriends a rag-tag group of children whose destiny is not only entangled with hers, but that of the planet itself.

Illora, is our lead character for the second Elf~Fin™ property. She is the daughter of Hyfus and Tilaweed, and granddaughter of Tentus.

This is the very first cover design for the proposed (and now temporarily shelved) picture book The Swimming Lesson. It was based on the 'Swimming Lesson' Illustration that Jozef did with Tilaweed and Ariel (in our Gallery pages). We opted against it because it focused on Tilaweed (Jozef's favorite character), rather than Illora. It was also the first drawing of Illora, and because the characters were somewhat parallel in triplicate, this piece has become an important size comparison for the three characters which is used for further artistic reference.

This was the second development sketch for the proposed picture book. We decided that the characters should swim more towards the viewer, and to push Illora's expression. Though a nice piece, we felt it lacked the punch for a cover. Jozef may revisit this for a painting at a later date.
