Eternal Spheres: Mermist Seas
		Eternal Spheres; Mermist Seas was conceived because we were interested in developing the definitive mermaid project. We sat down and created a storyline that would reinvent these beautiful mythological creatures in ways that readers had not previously come across. The world in which our mermaids live is called Arcanus. The realm in which Mermist Seas takes place is called Eternal Spheres. Though it is high fantasy, there is a Shakespearean or operatic quality about it as it is much darker than the Elf~Fin stories.

This is some experimental sequential artwork Jozef created for our original proposal. This sequence will appear in Mermist Seas in the next few years (we're not giving anything away right now), but will be rendered and interpreted very differently.

This piece was the projected cover art for the first issue of Mermist Seas that was part of our original proposal. To this day it remains one of our all time favourite Szekeres pieces even though it will never make it to print as a cover. Since it was completed in 1994, our vision has shifted somewhat and Jozef's development as a painter is such that he would like to redo it when the time comes.
